🎯 How 2-Player Mode Works

Coordinate applications, share authorized user cards, and maximize referral bonuses

1️⃣ Stagger Applications

Don't apply for the same cards at the same time. Take turns to manage hard inquiries and maximize time between applications.

Example: Player 1 applies for Chase Sapphire Preferred in January. Player 2 applies for Chase Sapphire Reserve in February. This spreads out the bonuses and keeps both players under 5/24 longer.

2️⃣ Referral Bonuses

Always refer each other! Most cards give 10-20K bonus points per referral. This adds $2,000-4,000 per year.

Example: Player 1 has Amex Platinum. Refers Player 2 → Earns 20K points ($200). Player 2 has Chase Sapphire Preferred. Refers Player 1 to Freedom → Earns 20K points ($250).

3️⃣ Authorized User Cards

Add each other as authorized users to build credit history faster and get bonus offers without using a 5/24 slot.

Example: Player 1 adds Player 2 as AU on 3 cards. Player 2's average age of accounts increases, credit score improves by 20-30 points, qualifies for better cards sooner.

4️⃣ Combined Income

Use household income on applications (legal for spouses/partners living together). Qualify for premium cards with higher limits.

Example: Player 1 earns $60K, Player 2 earns $70K. Both can claim $130K household income on applications. Qualifies for Amex Business Platinum ($15K MSR) and other premium cards.

5️⃣ Business Card Bonanza

Business cards don't count toward 5/24. Each player can get 4-5 business cards from Chase alone, plus unlimited from Amex.

Example: Each player gets Chase Ink Business Preferred ($1K), Ink Cash ($750), Ink Unlimited ($750), plus Amex Business Gold ($700) x2 = $7,800 combined in business bonuses.

6️⃣ Coordinate 5/24 Strategy

Time applications strategically. Player 1 goes over 5/24 early, Player 2 stays under to grab remaining Chase cards.

Example: Player 1 hits Chase cards months 1-6, goes over 5/24, hits Amex. Player 2 stays under 5/24 until month 12, grabs all Chase cards Player 1 missed. Total: 20 Chase cards between both.

💡 Pro Tips for 2-Player Mode

📱 Communication is Key

Use a shared spreadsheet or ChurnVault to track who's applying for what and when. Avoid duplicate applications and coordinate MSR timing.

💑 Best for Spouses/Partners

Works best with people living together who can legally claim household income. Married couples or domestic partners are ideal.

🏦 Pool Resources

Use combined bank accounts to meet MSRs faster. Split spending strategically across cards to maximize category bonuses.

📊 Track Everything

Use ChurnVault to track both players' cards, deadlines, and earnings. Set joint calendar reminders for important dates.

🎯 Specialize Roles

One player focuses on Chase cards early, the other hits Amex. This maximizes 5/24 efficiency and spreads hard inquiries.

✈️ Combine Points

Transfer points between accounts (where allowed). Pool points for bigger redemptions like international business class flights.

🔄 Referral Chain

ALWAYS refer each other. This adds $2-4K per year in bonus points. Make it a rule: no application without checking for referral first.

📅 Stagger MSRs

Don't have both players trying to meet $15K MSRs at the same time. Alternate heavy spend cards with lighter ones.

⚠️ Important Considerations

Trust is essential: Only do 2-player mode with someone you completely trust. You'll have access to each other's accounts, credit cards, and financial information. Do NOT do this with casual friends, roommates you barely know, or anyone you have doubts about.

Legal requirements: Only claim household income if you actually live together. Don't commit application fraud. Be honest on all applications.

✅ Why 2-Player Mode Works

Double the 5/24 slots: Instead of 10 Chase cards total (5 personal + 5 business), you get 20 cards (10 per player).

Referral bonuses are huge: $2-4K per year in extra points just from referring each other.

Combined income: Qualify for premium cards with $10K-15K minimum spends that solo players can't hit.

Faster MS: Two people can liquidate $20K/month in VGCs without raising red flags.
